Home Office & Study Room Design - Leeds
This project focused on creating a calm and functional study space within the Leeds residence. The objective was to design a room that supports focused work while also providing a comfortable environment for reading and quiet relaxation.
The original concept required a layout that could accommodate a dedicated work area while still making use of the natural light available in the room. The challenge was to balance practicality with a soft and welcoming atmosphere that feels connected to the overall design of the home. The design approach centred around a carefully planned workspace positioned between two tall windows. This placement allows natural light to frame the desk area while maintaining a balanced and symmetrical composition within the room.
To maximise functionality, bespoke shelving was introduced along one wall to provide practical storage while also creating a visual feature within the space. Integrated lighting highlights decorative objects and books, adding depth and warmth to the timber joinery. A built-in window seat was designed along the glazing to create a quiet place for reading or reflection. Soft upholstery and patterned textiles introduce subtle texture while maintaining the neutral palette used throughout the room. Material selections were kept warm and refined. Natural wood tones, marble surfaces, and soft wall panelling work together to create a calm and elegant study environment that feels both practical and visually balanced.
