This project formed part of the interior design concept for a modern family home in Leeds. The aim was to create a balanced living environment where relaxation, conversation, and family time could comfortably coexist within one cohesive space.

The original brief was to design a living room that felt elegant yet welcoming, with a layout that supported everyday living while maintaining a refined visual character. The space needed to accommodate multiple seating areas without feeling overcrowded, while still allowing clear movement through the room.

The design approach focused heavily on layout, symmetry, and visual balance. A central seating arrangement was introduced to anchor the room and create a natural conversation area. Two sofas were positioned opposite one another to establish structure within the space, while accent chairs were placed to soften the arrangement and maintain comfortable circulation.

The fireplace wall became the focal point of the design. A bespoke media and fireplace feature was developed using layered materials, warm stone textures, and integrated shelving. This element anchors the room visually while also introducing practical storage and subtle lighting. Soft neutral tones were chosen throughout the interior to create a calm and timeless atmosphere. Warm wood accents, textured fabrics, and brass lighting details bring depth and warmth to the space while maintaining a refined contemporary feel. Lighting was carefully layered to enhance the atmosphere of the room. Sculptural ceiling lights provide visual interest while wall lights and integrated shelving lighting create warmth during evening hours.
