This project focused on designing a practical and organised utility room within the Leeds residence. The objective was to create a space that supports everyday household tasks while maintaining the same refined aesthetic used throughout the rest of the home. The original concept required a layout that could accommodate laundry appliances, storage, and a dedicated work surface while ensuring the room remained uncluttered and easy to use. The challenge was to combine multiple functional elements within one space while maintaining a clean and balanced appearance.

The design approach centred around a wall of built-in cabinetry to organise the main utility functions. The washing machines were integrated into custom cabinetry to maintain a cohesive look while allowing easy access for everyday use. To maximise practicality, a dedicated counter space was introduced to support tasks such as folding laundry and organising household items. Integrated storage below the counter provides additional space for cleaning supplies and everyday essentials.

A hanging rail was incorporated within the cabinetry to create a convenient area for drying clothes or preparing garments. This ensures the room supports the full laundry process while keeping the space visually organised. Material selections were kept warm and consistent with the rest of the residence. Soft neutral cabinetry, marble surfaces, and textured finishes create a calm and refined environment while ensuring the room remains durable and practical.

Lighting was layered to support the working areas within the room. Integrated cabinet lighting and ceiling downlights ensure the space remains bright and functional throughout the day.
